2002 Miss Teen Louisiana

Blair Abene

Blair is a native of Hammond, Louisiana. She is a senior at Southeastern Louisiana University, majoring in Vocal Performance with a minor in Mass Communication. As Miss Teen Louisiana 2002, Blair served as the Grand Marshal of the Alexandria Children's Mardi Gras Parade in 2003.

Blair later became Miss Louisiana 2008 and competed for the title of Miss America 2009. During her year as Miss Louisiana, Blair traveled across the state, speaking to young people about the importance of making good decisions. While doing this, she promoted her platform: Tourette Syndrome Awareness, working extensively with the National Tourette Syndrome Association as a spokesperson and mentor.

Blair also worked closely with Children's Miracle Network during her year of service, visiting children's hospitals and raising over $26,000 for the network. Blair is thrilled to be back in Alexandria, serving in the capacity of Grand Marshal once again!
